Ingredients
  

Feta Pastry
  • 1 block feta cheese about 8 oz
  • 6 sheets phyllo dough thawed
  • 3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
Hot Honey
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 0.5 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 0.5 tsp lemon zest
  • 0.5 tsp fresh thyme

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix honey, chili flakes, garlic, and lemon zest in a bowl to make hot honey.
  3. Layer phyllo sheets, brushing each with olive oil.
  4. Place feta in the center and wrap phyllo around it like a parcel.
  5. Brush the outside with olive oil and transfer to baking sheet.
  6. Bake 20–25 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
  7. Drizzle hot honey over baked feta and garnish with thyme.
  8. Serve warm with bread or crackers.

Notes

Best served immediately while the phyllo pastry is crisp.
