Ingredients
  

Pasta Salad
  • 12 oz bow tie pasta
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 cup cucumber diced
  • 0.5 cup red onion chopped
  • 0.75 cup mozzarella pearls
  • 0.5 cup black olives sliced
  • 0.25 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.25 cup fresh basil chopped
Dressing
  • 0.5 cup Italian dressing
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Colander
  • Mixing bowls
  • Cutting board and knife

Method
 

  1. Cook bow tie pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. Chop vegetables and basil while pasta cools.
  3. Combine pasta, vegetables, mozzarella, olives, and parmesan in a large bowl.
  4. Add Italian dressing, olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Toss gently until evenly coated.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  7. Toss again, garnish with basil or parmesan, and serve.

Notes

For best flavor, chill at least 30 minutes before serving and add extra dressing if needed.
