Ingredients
  

Turkey Patties
  • 1 lb ground turkey 93% lean
  • 1 jalapeño finely diced
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp cilantro chopped
  • 0.25 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for cooking
Curry-Lime Sauce
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 0.5 tsp honey
  • 1 pinch salt
Slaw
  • 1 cup red cabbage shredded
  • 0.5 cup carrots shredded
  • 0.25 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Prepare the slaw by combining cabbage, carrots, cilantro, lime juice, and mayonnaise. Season and chill.
  2. Whisk together all ingredients for the curry-lime sauce and set aside.
  3. Mix ground turkey with jalapeño, garlic, cilantro, breadcrumbs, mayo, curry powder, cumin, salt, and lime juice. Form into 4 patties.
  4. Cook patties in skillet with olive oil, 4–5 minutes per side, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Toast buns and spread curry-lime sauce on each side.
  6. Assemble burgers with patty, cheese, slaw, and cilantro. Serve hot.

Notes

Add more curry or jalapeño for extra heat. Great with sweet potato fries.
