Steak
  • 2 ribeye steaks 10-12 oz each
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
Garlic Butter
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 2 sprigs thyme
Cream Sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.5 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Bring steaks to room temperature for 30 minutes.
  2. Season steaks with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Heat olive oil in cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear steaks 3-4 minutes per side until crust forms.
  5. Add butter, garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Baste steaks continuously.
  6. Remove steaks and let rest.
  7. Prepare cream sauce in skillet with butter, garlic, broth, cream, parmesan, and seasoning.
  8. Simmer until thickened, then serve over steak.

Notes

For best flavor, use well-marbled ribeye and avoid overcooking. Pair with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
