Ingredients
  

Steak
  • 2 thick-cut steaks ribeye or sirloin
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
Creamy Garlic Sauce
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup beef broth

Equipment

  • Cast iron skillet
  • Tongs
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Season steaks generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat skillet with olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear steaks 3–5 minutes per side until browned.
  4. Remove steaks and rest.
  5. Sauté garlic in same skillet until fragrant.
  6. Add broth and cream, simmer until thickened.
  7. Return steaks to pan, spoon sauce over, serve.
