Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough Cups
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup mini chocolate chips
Lava Filling
  • 0.75 cup chocolate hazelnut spread slightly chilled
  • 0.5 cup dark chocolate chunks

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin lightly.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients and fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Press cookie dough into muffin cups, creating a center well.
  7. Add chilled chocolate spread and chocolate chunks to the center.
  8. Cover with additional cookie dough and seal edges carefully.
  9. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden around the edges.
  10. Cool slightly before serving warm with molten centers.

Notes

Freeze small portions of chocolate filling before baking for extra gooey centers. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for best results.
