- Bring 2 cups of water to a boil and steep butterfly pea flowers for 5–7 minutes.
- Strain the flowers from the tea and allow the liquid to cool slightly.
- Stir sugar or honey into the warm tea until fully dissolved.
- Add cold water and mix well.
- Slowly stir in fresh lemon juice and watch the color transform from blue to purple.
- Fill glasses with ice and pour the lemonade over the ice.
- Garnish with lemon slices, mint, and edible flowers before serving.
Notes
Serve lemon juice separately for a dramatic color-changing presentation at parties.
