Method
- Mix dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Whisk wet ingredients: milk, melted butter, and egg. Combine with dry ingredients until smooth.
- Cook donuts: fry in 350°F oil for 2–3 minutes per side or bake in greased molds at 375°F for 12–15 minutes until golden.
- Whip matcha cream: combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, matcha powder, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Fill cooled donuts with matcha cream using a piping bag. Dust or drizzle toppings as desired.
Notes
Fill donuts just before serving. Store donuts at room temperature for 1 day; cream in fridge up to 2 days.
