Ingredients
  

Eggs
  • 6 large eggs
Marinade
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 2 tbsp sugar or honey
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1-2 red chili peppers sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Container with lid
  • Slotted spoon

Method
 

  1. Bring water to a boil and cook eggs for 6–7 minutes.
  2. Transfer eggs to ice water and cool completely.
  3. Peel eggs carefully.
  4. Mix all marinade ingredients in a container.
  5. Add eggs to marinade and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
  6. Serve eggs with marinade spooned over top.

Notes

Marinate overnight for deeper flavor. Serve with rice or noodles.
