- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper and grease lightly.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
- In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips, reserving a handful for topping.
- Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan before slicing into bars. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
Do not overbake for soft, gooey centers. Bars can be stored at room temperature for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
