Ingredients
  

Noodles
  • 12 oz egg noodles
Cream Sauce
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 tsp salt or to taste
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 cup grated mild cheese optional

Method
 

  1. Cook egg noodles in salted boiling water until tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Slowly whisk in milk until smooth.
  5. Add cream and simmer until thickened.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  7. Stir in cheese if using until melted.
  8. Add noodles and toss to coat evenly.

Notes

For extra creaminess, add a splash of milk when reheating.
