Ingredients
  

Muffin Batter
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs large
Nutella Swirl
  • 0.5 cup Nutella plus extra for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with liners.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, mash bananas and mix with melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients just until no flour streaks remain.
  5. Warm Nutella slightly, add half into the batter, and swirl gently.
  6. Spoon batter into muffin cups, top with a teaspoon of Nutella, and swirl with a toothpick.
  7. Bake 18–22 minutes until golden and a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  8. Cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For gooey centers, add a frozen Nutella dollop in the middle of each muffin before baking.
