Method
- Heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef, cook until browned, drain excess fat.
- Stir in onion and garlic, cook until softened.
- Add paprika, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in orzo and toast lightly for 1–2 minutes.
- Pour in beef broth and diced tomatoes. Stir well.
- Cover and simmer 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until orzo is tender.
- Stir in shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Toast the orzo for extra flavor. For a lighter version, use ground turkey or chicken.
