Ingredients
  

Steak
  • 1.5 lbs sirloin or ribeye steak cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
Sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 0.5 small onion thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 0.5 cup beef broth
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard optional
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

  • Cast iron skillet

Method
 

  1. Season steak cubes with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet. Sear steak cubes for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onion until softened. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in BBQ sauce, honey, Dijon, and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Pour in heavy cream, stir, and simmer 2–3 minutes until thickened.
  6. Return steak to skillet, coat with sauce, and simmer 2 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve.
