Ingredients
  

Salmon
  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp paprika optional
Lemon Dill Sauce
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill chopped

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Spatula
  • Cutting board
  • Chef’s knife
  • Citrus juicer

Method
 

  1. Pat salmon dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Place salmon skin-side down and sear for 4–5 minutes.
  4. Flip and cook another 2–3 minutes until done.
  5. Remove salmon and reduce heat to medium.
  6. Add butter and garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  7. Stir in lemon juice, zest, and dill.
  8. Return salmon to pan and spoon sauce over before serving.

Notes

Do not overcook salmon; it should remain tender and flaky.
