Ingredients
  

Salmon
  • 4 salmon fillets skin-on
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 lemon juiced
Creamy Orzo
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups broth
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp parsley chopped

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Wooden spoon
  • Knife

Method
 

  1. Pat salmon dry and season with spices.
  2. Heat oil and sear salmon skin-side down for 4–5 minutes.
  3. Flip and cook another 3–4 minutes, then remove.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic.
  5. Add orzo and toast lightly.
  6. Pour in broth and simmer until tender.
  7. Stir in cream, cheese, and lemon zest.
  8. Return salmon, garnish, and serve.

Notes

Use fresh salmon for best flavor. Adjust creaminess with extra broth if needed.
