Casserole Base
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups pancake mix
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 2 eggs large
  • 0.25 cup butter melted
  • 0.25 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook sausage in a skillet until browned; drain and set aside.
  3. Whisk pancake mix, milk, eggs, melted butter, maple syrup, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Fold cooked sausage into the batter.
  5. Pour mixture into prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake 35–40 minutes until set and lightly golden.
  7. Cool slightly, slice, and serve warm with syrup.
