Ingredients
  

Cake Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups peaches diced
Frosting
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking pan.
  2. Whisk dry ingredients together in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Alternate mixing dry ingredients with sour cream.
  5. Fold in peaches and pour batter into pan.
  6. Bake 35–40 minutes and cool completely.
  7. Prepare frosting by cooking butter and brown sugar, then adding cream and powdered sugar.
  8. Spread frosting over cooled cake and serve.

Notes

Use ripe peaches for best flavor and moisture.
