Ingredients

Peach Syrup
  • 4 medium ripe peaches pitted and sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
Lemonade Base
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice about 6 lemons
  • 4 cups cold water
  • ice cubes for serving
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Blender
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Large pitcher
  • Wooden spoon

Method

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine peaches, sugar, and 1 cup water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until peaches are soft and sugar is dissolved (about 8–10 minutes).
  2. Transfer peach mixture to a blender and blend until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher, discarding solids.
  3. In a large pitcher, combine peach syrup, lemon juice, and cold water. Stir well to mix.
  4. Serve over ice, garnished with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

For a sparkling version, replace 2 cups of cold water with chilled sparkling water. You can make the peach syrup up to 3 days in advance and store it in the refrigerator.
