Method
- Combine sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a wok or large skillet. Sear beef in batches for 2 minutes per side until browned.
- Remove beef and stir-fry bell peppers and onions for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Return beef to pan, add oyster sauce, broth, and optional sugar or vinegar. Stir well.
- Simmer sauce 1–2 minutes until thickened. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.
Notes
For extra depth, add a splash of sesame oil at the end before serving.
