Cookie Dough
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup crushed peppermint candies

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Whisk melted butter with sugars until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips and crushed peppermint.
  6. Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing evenly.
  7. Bake 10–12 minutes until crackled and set at edges.
  8. Cool on rack before serving.

Notes

Do not overbake for best fudgy texture.
