Pepperoni Grilled Cheese

Ingredients
  

Sandwich Components
  • 4 slices bread thick-cut
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 12-16 slices pepperoni
  • Optional toppings fresh basil, tomato slices, or marinara sauce

Method
 

  1. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
  2. Layer mozzarella, pepperoni, cheddar, and remaining mozzarella on the unbuttered side.
  3. Top with second slice of bread, buttered side out.
  4. Heat skillet over medium heat.
  5. Grill sandwich 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese melts.
  6. Remove, rest 1 minute, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle parmesan on bread before grilling or add jalapeños for spice.
