  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 14 oz smoked sausage sliced
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 bell peppers diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice uncooked
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp dried thyme
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet and brown sausage slices on both sides.
  2. Remove sausage and sauté onion and bell peppers until softened.
  3. Add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
  4. Stir in rice and seasonings, allowing rice to toast slightly.
  5. Add broth and sausage, bring to a simmer, cover, and cook until rice is tender.
  6. Rest, fluff, garnish, and serve warm.
