Ingredients
  

Fish
  • 4 tilapia fillets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil divided
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
Sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1.5 cups roasted red peppers drained
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Blender or immersion blender
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Method
 

  1. Season tilapia fillets with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear tilapia 3–4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onion in butter until soft. Add garlic and cook briefly.
  4. Add roasted red peppers and blend mixture until smooth.
  5. Return sauce to skillet, stir in cream and lemon juice, and season to taste.
  6. Add tilapia back to skillet and simmer gently until warmed through.

Notes

Serve with rice, pasta, or crusty bread.
