Crust
  • 2 pie crusts pre-made or homemade
  • 1 egg for egg wash
Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup pickles optional, diced
  • 0.5 cup tomatoes optional, diced

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line pie dish with bottom crust.
  3. Cook onion, garlic, and ground beef in skillet until browned.
  4. Add seasonings, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, flour, and milk.
  5. Cool slightly, then stir in cheese and eggs.
  6. Pour filling into crust.
  7. Top with second crust, seal edges, and brush with egg wash.
  8. Bake 35–40 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Customize with bacon, mushrooms, or jalapeños for extra flavor.
