Ingredients
  

  • 12 apples medium size, washed and dried
  • 12 wooden sticks or popsicle sticks
  • 14 oz soft caramel candies or caramel squares
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts, sprinkles, or chocolate drizzle optional
  • parchment paper for lining sheet pan

Method
 

  1. Wash and dry apples. Insert wooden sticks.
  2. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and lightly grease.
  3. Melt caramel candies with heavy cream over low heat until smooth.
  4. Dip each apple into caramel, swirling to coat evenly.
  5. Immediately sprinkle toppings if desired.
  6. Place apples on prepared sheet pan and let caramel set.
  7. Serve or refrigerate for up to 3 days.

Notes

Make sure apples are completely dry before dipping. For faster setting, refrigerate for 10–15 minutes.
