Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- If desired, lightly butter the bread slices on one side.
- In a bowl, mix tuna, mayonnaise, mustard, celery, onion, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Arrange bread slices on the sheet pan and spread tuna mixture evenly.
- Top each with shredded cheese.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted and edges are golden.
- Broil 1–2 minutes for extra browning if desired.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Drain tuna well for a firmer melt. Use sourdough for the best texture.
