Method
- Pat shrimp dry and place in a bowl.
- Add olive oil, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and lime juice. Toss well.
- Marinate shrimp for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Blend sour cream, mayonnaise, cilantro, jalapeño, garlic, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and hot sauce until smooth.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink and lightly charred.
- Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or over an open flame.
- Fill tortillas with cabbage, shrimp, avocado, and cilantro.
- Drizzle with spicy cilantro lime sauce and top with cotija cheese if desired.
- Serve immediately with lime wedges.
Notes
Adjust the spice level by adding more or less jalapeño and hot sauce. Fresh lime juice gives the best flavor.
