Ingredients
  

Beef Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Biscuit Topping
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits 8-count
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned; drain fat.
  3. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; cook until soft.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire, brown sugar, mustard, and paprika. Simmer until thickened.
  5. Spread beef mixture into baking dish and top with shredded cheddar.
  6. Cut biscuits into quarters and arrange on top. Brush with melted butter.
  7. Bake 25–30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Make sure beef filling is thick to avoid soggy biscuits. Great for freezing!
