Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 3.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 0.25 cup warm water
  • 0.75 cup cottage cheese
  • 0.25 cup milk warm
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 egg large
Topping
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast in warm water and let sit until foamy.
  2. Warm cottage cheese and milk until lukewarm.
  3. Mix yeast, dairy mixture, sugar, salt, butter, and egg.
  4. Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms.
  5. Knead dough until smooth and elastic.
  6. Let dough rise until doubled in size.
  7. Shape into rolls and let rise again.
  8. Bake until golden brown and brush with butter.

Notes

Ensure ingredients are not too hot to avoid killing yeast. Dough should remain slightly soft for best texture.
