- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, mixing well.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients alternating with milk until dough forms.
- Fold in sprinkles gently.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheets, flatten slightly, and add extra sprinkles.
- Bake 9–11 minutes until edges are set. Cool on wire racks.
- Beat frosting ingredients until smooth and spread onto cooled cookies if desired.
Notes
Do not overbake to maintain soft texture. Dough can be chilled if cookies spread too much.
