- Peel, core, and slice apples into 1/4-inch slices.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced apples and cook 5–7 minutes until slightly tender.
- Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt; stir to coat and cook 5–7 more minutes until apples are soft and caramelized.
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, garnish with fresh parsley or mint, and serve warm.
Notes
Delicious as a side dish or dessert. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving.
