Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 2 lbs chicken thighs or breasts
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
Maple Bourbon Glaze
  • 0.5 cup pure maple syrup
  • 0.25 cup bourbon
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp water

Method
 

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet cook garlic until fragrant.
  5. Add maple syrup, bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard. Simmer.
  6. Mix cornstarch with water and stir into the sauce to thicken.
  7. Return chicken to skillet and simmer 10–12 minutes until cooked through.
  8. Spoon glaze over chicken, garnish with herbs, and serve.

Notes

Use pure maple syrup for best flavor and simmer sauce until thick and glossy.
