Ingredients
  

Cake Batter
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1.75 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs large
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup strawberry puree
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
Strawberry Pink Glaze
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp strawberry puree
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together.
  3. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
  5. Mix in dry ingredients alternating with milk, strawberry puree, and sour cream.
  6. Pour batter into pan and bake 35–40 minutes until done.
  7. Cool completely before glazing.
  8. Whisk glaze ingredients and pour over cake before serving.

Notes

Use fresh or frozen strawberries for puree. Adjust glaze thickness as desired.
