Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast 1 packet
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
Filling
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries or raspberry jam
Topping
  • 1 tbsp sugar for sprinkling
  • Optional powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

  1. Combine warm milk, 1 tsp sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5–10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add butter, eggs, and yeast mixture. Knead until smooth and elastic.
  3. Cover dough and let rise 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  4. Punch down dough, divide into 12 pieces, flatten, place raspberries inside, and seal. Arrange on tray.
  5. Cover and let rise 30–40 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush buns with milk or egg wash, sprinkle sugar, bake 18–20 minutes until golden.
  7. Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 1 month. Reheat before serving.
