Method
- Whisk together balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, olive oil, brown sugar, garlic, mustard, and herbs.
- Place steak in a resealable bag and pour marinade over it. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
- Remove steak from marinade, pat dry, and season lightly with salt.
- Cook steak for 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare or to desired doneness.
- Let rest 5–10 minutes, slice against the grain, and serve with fresh herbs or balsamic glaze.
Notes
For deeper flavor, marinate overnight. Works with flank, sirloin, or ribeye.
