Ingredients
  

Main Mix
  • 3 cups Corn Chex cereal
  • 3 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 2 cups pretzels mini twists
  • 1.5 cups pecan halves or mixed nuts
Toffee Coating
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine cereals, pretzels, and nuts in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and cook for 3–4 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat, add vanilla and baking soda, and stir until foamy.
  5. Pour toffee mixture over cereal blend and stir to coat.
  6. Spread on baking sheet and bake 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  7. Cool completely before breaking into clusters. Store airtight.

Notes

Sprinkle sea salt or drizzle chocolate over cooled mix for extra flair.
