Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional Add-Ins
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mash bananas and mix in melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Add optional chocolate chips or walnuts.
  5. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for maximum flavor and moisture. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
