Ingredients
  

Coffee Cake Batter
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
Cinnamon Swirl & Glaze
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp milk or cream

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a baking pan.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Mix dry ingredients into batter alternating with milk.
  5. Layer batter and cinnamon sugar mixture into pan.
  6. Bake 40–45 minutes until set.
  7. Whisk glaze ingredients and drizzle over cooled cake.

Notes

Let cake cool slightly before glazing for best texture.
