Method
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Melt chocolate and butter together until smooth.
- Whisk in sugars while warm.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking well. Stir in vanilla.
- Mix dry ingredients separately, then fold into batter.
- Fold in chocolate chips if using.
- Pour into pan and smooth top.
- Bake 20–25 minutes until edges set and center soft.
- Cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
Do not overbake for maximum fudginess. Use high-quality chocolate for best results.
