Ingredients
  

Brownie Batter
  • 200 g dark chocolate chopped
  • 150 g unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 3 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup cocoa powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup chocolate chips optional
  • flaky sea salt optional topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter together until smooth.
  3. Whisk in sugars while warm.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well. Stir in vanilla.
  5. Mix dry ingredients separately, then fold into batter.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  7. Pour into pan and smooth top.
  8. Bake 20–25 minutes until edges set and center soft.
  9. Cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

Do not overbake for maximum fudginess. Use high-quality chocolate for best results.
