- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and place a baking sheet on the lower rack.
- Prepare pie crust and place in a 9-inch pie dish. Chill while preparing filling.
- In a large bowl combine blackberries, sugars, cornstarch, lemon juice, lemon zest, vanilla, and salt.
- Pour the blackberry mixture into the prepared pie crust.
- Mix flour, sugars, cinnamon, and salt for the crumb topping.
- Stir in melted butter until crumbs form.
- Sprinkle crumb topping evenly over the berry filling.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes until topping is golden and filling bubbles.
- Cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
Let pie cool fully so the filling thickens properly.
