Method
- Wash apples in hot water to remove wax and dry completely. Insert sticks.
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in saucepan. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Boil without stirring until mixture reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Remove from heat and stir in white food coloring and vanilla.
- Dip apples one at a time, twirling to coat evenly.
- Dust with edible glitter before the coating hardens.
- Let set on parchment for 10–15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Avoid humidity when making candy apples to prevent stickiness. Use tart apples for balance.
