- Wash and trim the okra, removing stems but keeping pods intact.
- In a saucepan, combine vinegar, water, salt, sugar, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve salt and sugar.
- Pack okra tightly into clean jars. Pour hot brine over okra, leaving ½ inch headspace.
- Seal jars with lids and let cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before enjoying for best flavor.

Notes
